Speed, strength, and sleekness. When creating the cage for the Fujifilm X-H2 & X-H2S we knew we needed to anchor the design on those three pillars. The cage leverages KONDOR BLUE’s brand-new Hatch System which is a completely unique way to mount your camera cage with as few bolts as possible while remaining rock solid. The KONDOR BLUE Mid-Rail and eyelet inserts provide unparalleled structure and rigidity to the camera and now only require 4 bolts to fully assemble/remove the cage. 

The Fujifilm X-H2S cage comes fully prepped to install out of the box. Users mount the cage by swinging the pivoting Bottom Plate 180°, then setting the cage on top of the camera while sliding in the eyelet connectors, and swinging the Bottom Plate back into place. This has allowed us to design the cage to be even more form fitting and dramatically speeds up installation and cage removal times. Best of all, all bolts necessary to remove the cage are clearly marked with arrow engravings. 

Beyond the new assembly style, the Fujifilm X-H2S cage includes all of the pro features you’ve come to expect from KONDOR BLUE. Including the NATO rail on the Side and Top Plates, stainless steel ARRI style rosette, ARRI style anti-twist mounts (¼ 20 and ⅜ 16), USB C clamp, built-in tools for assembly, angled cold shoe, and our signature bubble level.

This Fujifilm X-H2S cage and base rig are ready to rock and roll for productions of any size. Each piece is precision machined from durable 6061 aluminum and anodized in Space Gray or Raven Black. We took our 501 Baseplate back to the drawing board to give it a complete overhaul to add in some much-needed functionality. At the top of the list was to get as many of our camera cages to 85mm sensor to rail center offset for matte box compatibility. There are many height-adjustable baseplate options, but most start off too tall, mitigating the need for vertical height adjustment. It’s also easy for them to become loose and wobble or slip during a shoot. We addressed this by machining precise 1mm adjustments with corresponding laser engravings to make dialing in the baseplate height easy and accurate. We even have a guide for each cage we offer to let you know the exact position your baseplate should be set to.

We’ve also improved the 15mm rail clamps to have over double the clamping force without marring your rails. The M4 ratchet knobs are also captive and you won’t need to worry about losing them. Whether you’re using the 501 Drop-in Plate or mounting directly to the Baseplate Riser Block, you’ll be able to mount multiple bolts to any camera cage to prevent twisting. Swapping out mounting options is a breeze with slotted access from the underside of the baseplate. 

You have options for tripod mounting solutions as well. Mount tripod plates directly to the base with ⅜” and ¼” helicoil mounting holes or use the built-in dovetail clamp which pairs perfectly with our Lightweight Dovetail Plates.

Fully redesigned from the ground up, the all-new KONDOR BLUE Rosette Pivot Module Grip is better in every way. Gone are the days of needing to pick a left or right version as the new module is both left/right compatible simply by rotating 180º. The adjustment positions have received a 50% increase from 20 to 30 positions. The adjustment mechanism has also drastically improved to 2x stainless steel pins for additional strength and safety redundancy. Finally, the play has also greatly been reduced with the introduction of an ultra-smooth thrust bearing to even out the load and maximize torsional and rigidity. 

The 60-tooth ARRI style M6 rosette is compatible with any standard rosette including our range of Rosette Accessories. The KONDOR BLUE Grip is ultra-ergonomic. Made from a pliable, yet durable rubber—the grip is the perfect balance of grip and comfort. The flared edge prevents hands from slipping and the embossed logo and edge ridges provide extra grip. The grip also features a strap loop and anti-twist ⅜”-16 mount with ¼”-20 bushing on the base of the grip.

The original KONDOR BLUE Mini Quick Release Plates have become a rigging essential and are ubiquitous throughout the industry. With micro revisions along the way, it was time to go back to the drawing board and create the ultimate Mini Lock System for professional camera accessories.

Not only is the design overhaul smaller, lighter, and more feature-rich, but it is also compatible with the original Mini Quick Release male plates, anti-twist cradles, and ecosystem accessories. This allows users to upgrade with confidence knowing their initial investments have not gone to waste.

Mounting security is paramount. There are several pro mounting options for the male quick release plate:

• Female ARRI style mount
• Male ¼ 20 ARRI style mount (3mm pins are removable and storable within the plate)
• NATO rail
• ¼ 20 or ⅜ 16 receiving threads
• ¼ 20 or ⅜ 16 mounting bolts
• Any of the above options combine with a centralized M4 set screw

The female Mini Lock receiver also received new mounting options. The receiving ⅜ 16 threads are now deeper for more security. Removable 3mm anti-twist ARRI style pins can also be added in either orientation. The outer profile continues to be compatible with KONDOR BLUE’s range of anti-twist cradles as well. Stainless steel mounting hardware for all the mentioned configurations is included with the kit. 

Because of the tiny footprint of the Mini Lock, achieving tight tolerances is critical for secure locking. The safety latch—which still features its unique ability to stay fixed when open—now features an integrated M4 nylon tip set screw. Using the included 2mm hex tool, a user can fine tune the plate-to-plate fit by simply adjusting the set screw. The nylon tip smoothly glides along the surface of the male quick release plate removing any potential play, all without marring the surface.
