Removable Arca Swiss Plate on the bottom of the cage, allowing compatibility with the new DJI Ronin.
NATO rails on all sides of the cage
The NATO rail on top is removable, allowing for the use of Sony's FX3 XLR top handle. *SOLD SEPARATELY*
Multiple 1/4" and four 3/8" threaded holes with ARRI Locator Pins for Anti-twist accessories such as our Mini Quick Release Plates.

Is the ARCA plate DJI gimbal compatible?

Yes. The integrated ARCA plate is fully DJI-compatible and can slide directly into DJI gimbals that support the ARCA standard.

Why did Kondor Blue switch to this new cage system?

We redesigned the cage to better support fast-paced, hybrid shooting workflows. The new system allows creators to move quickly between handheld, tripod, and gimbal setups while maintaining a more compact and powerful pro configuration. It eliminates the need for rods or excess bulk while still allowing accessories to be added or removed quickly.

Can the half cage be used on its own?

Yes. The half cage (Right Side Plate & Baseplate) is fully functional on its own and is a great lightweight option for minimal or run-and-gun setups as well as a streamlined solution for vertical shooting.

How do you remove the cage?

Removing the Sony FX3 hybrid camera cage is still quick and straightforward. You will need to loosen one top 1/4”-20 bolt, but the good news is the tool for that is actually built right into the cage itself. Once you loosen that bolt and use the tool-less knob on the side of the cage, you can simply slide the cage off. This design ensures you can quickly transition between setups with minimal hassle.
